Over- and under-pressure dampers

Fire retardant systems based on the release of gases, such as Inergen, Argonite, Novec 1230, carbon dioxide and nitrogen, can cause rapid pressure changes in enclosed spaces. This pressure must be equalized in a controlled manner with dampers for Novec or Inergen to prevent structural damage to the room or the contents of the room from occurring.

The pressure equalization dampers from Puma Fire Products are designed to ventilate this pressure in a controlled and efficient manner.

Our dampers for Novec handle both positive and negative pressure, while our dampers for Inergen handle bleeding of positive pressure.

All dampers can be combined with active gas venting after the fire extinguishing system has been triggered.

The dampers from Puma are independently tested and meet the fire safety and function requirements of the leading fire safety environments in the world.
