LOX® is the most effective and profitable solution for preventing fires in cold stores

Due to the extremely dry air that occurs in a cold storage, the risk of fire is extremely high, despite the fact that the temperature is below zero degrees Celsius.

By lowering the oxygen level to a value where ignition is impossible, the risk is almost completely eliminated.

The LOX® fire prevention system reduces the oxygen level in the protected area from the normal level of 20.9% (at sea level) to the desired level. This is done by constantly adding a controlled amount of additional nitrogen to the air in the protected area.

The LOX® protected area remains accessible to those working in space, because the oxygen level is only lowered to a level of between 15% and 17%, which corresponds to the natural oxygen level at an altitude of 1750 – 2000 m.

Preventing a fire from occurring is much better than extinguishing the fire after it has occurred and has led to a halt in business and extensive damage to the building and assets.
